How they met:
Henrietta and Adrian met on October 3, 2008 at the Walmart in West Columbia, SC.“I was working in the money center at Walmart.” recalls Henrietta. “Adrian came into the store to cash his payroll check. For some reason, I was in the best mood ever that day.“Although Adrian had been coming into the store for some time, I had never said anything to him. He said, ‘Every time I come in here you are always texting.’ I looked up at him and said ‘you are crazy.’ When he asked me for my number, I gave it to him and told him not to take it if you are not going to use it. Thirty minutes later, he texted me. From that point on we have been talking!
The moment they realized they wanted to be a couple for life:
“We realized we needed to be together forever when not a day or minute went by that we were not texting or calling each other at work, home and on the cell phones. We did just about everything together.“Morning, noon and night we talked and laughed and told each other what we wanted in life. We both described what type of relationship we both wanted and how we would like to be treated. We both knew at that point that we couldn’t live without each other and we were meant to be.
The Proposal:
“I always wanted to go to The Olive Garden. Adrian would always ask me why because I don’t like pasta. I told him I wanted to try something different.“On the night of March 26, 2010 I was at a co workers house when he then texted me and asked if he could take me out to eat tonight. I told him I really didn’t feel like it but he said ’Well you are going anyway’ so I said ‘Well ok!’“As we pulled up to The Olive Garden I just knew that something was up. I tried to look at every move that he took but I couldn’t figure it out.“After we ordered our food, he asked me to close my eyes, count to 5 and open my eyes. I did what he wanted me to do. At that moment I just knew he was going to ask me to marry him.“Adrian said ‘Open your eyes Niki. Will you marry me?’ I said yes. I couldn’t stop smiling. It was just the best moment in my life.
The Wedding:
“Our wedding and reception were at Maxcy Gregg Park in Columbia, SC. Before the ceremony started we released balloons in celebration of our departed family members. Our colors were purple, ivory and silver.“Our wedding party was huge and included 12 bridesmaids, 12 groomsmen, 5 flower girls, 1 ring bearer, 1 bible carrier, 5 ushers and 2 hostesses. We had a buffet style reception with lots of dancing and fun. It was so beautiful!
The Honeymoon:
“We went to Jacksonville, FL and Savannah, GA on our honeymoon. We spent time walking on the beach, shopping and talking about of dream for the future.
Their Plans:
"Our future plans are to have our own 5 bedroom farmhouse with 2 kids…mostly to live happily ever after.
Advice to Others:
