Camellia & Justin

Camellia Winchester and Justin Douglas are pleased to announce their plans to marry on March 26, 2011.

Camellia, the daughter of George and Myra Winchester, is a native of Charlotte, NC. Her alma mater is The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and she is a registered nurse.

Justin, the son of Darryl Douglas and the late Gale Douglas, is a native of Charlotte, NC. He is employed by Harris Teeter Distribution.

Justin and Camellia have known of each other since early childhood, officially meeting at church.  After multiple encounters, they started dating in October of 2007.

They became engaged on December 25, 2009.

Camellia’s family gathers each year on Christmas Day at her oldest aunt's house. “We were all sitting at the table eating breakfast and talking” recalls Camellia. “As everyone was finishing up, Justin stood up and asked for everyone's attention.

“At that point, I knew that he was up to something but I was totally clueless about what. I thought that he was just joking around and going to make a funny announcement, which is totally in keeping with his personality.

“To my surprise, he reached in his pocket, and pulled out a white jewelry box. I immediately started crying because at that point I knew what he was up to. He walked over to me, got on his knees and asked me, as the love of his life, if I would marry him.

“Most of my family, including my mom and five of my aunts, witnessed this on Christmas Day which made it all the more special!”

 Camellia and Justin have chosen Howard & Howard Events & Chef Services  as their wedding planner.
